1. Project Gutenberg (www.gutenberg.org)

PProject Gutenberg is an repository of old books. It offers more than 50,000 books in 50 languages for free download. No registration is required.

Interestingly, www.forgottenbooks.com has to a large extent mimicked Project Gutenberg but instead of offering thousands of books whose copyright has lapsed due to their age for free download, forgottenbooks.com requires registration and subscription for the same.

Project Gutenberg still is the best place for me to download old books. A most visit for all book lovers. Project Gutenberg also Music, old records, photos etc. Navigating the site is bit tricky and the Search option most of the time do not result in things that you wanted.

2. Google Translate (https://translate.google.com/)

It is extremely fun site. You simply translate anything into any language. You can also learn a foreign language with the help of it. Since there is an audio tab, you can click on the audio tab of the Translated text and learn how to pronounce as well. If you attach a microphone or own a laptop you can simply record something and have the same translated into another language.

3. Mega (https://mega.nz)

Mega offers 50 GB free space for you to upload your files. Thus, it is presently the best site when it comes to file hosting. Of course, there are plethora of other sites such as Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive and even India’s own Digilocker, Mega is still the best.

Google Drive offers only 15 GB Free Space. Dropbox offers more than 2 TB space but it is subscription driven and does not offer free space. Digilocker is meanwhile available for Indians only and is Aadhar linked. If your mobile is not linked to your Aadhar number you cannot generate OTP.
